Women Take Home Silver; Lose 8-1 to Team USA in Gold Medal Game

The Open Women's softball team lost to team USA in the Gold Medal game yesterday 8-1. After taking down team Israel in the bronze medal game, team Canada couldn't stave of the Americans and are heading home with a silver medal for the second straight Maccabiah Games.

Overall, the Women's open team were serious underdogs going into the tournament. After beating team USA for the first time in the Maccabiah games, the team finished 4-4.

Not only was the team competitive and passionate, this group of women always had smiles on their faces and played with heart. Representing Canada has been an unforgettable experience for this group, and we can't wait for the medal ceremony on Sunday.
